A custom designed, modular home was the favoured choice for Lynn and Keith Tooke for their new farm in Boyup Brook. The four module, expansive layout, has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open plan kitchen/dining, plus separate theatre, office and sewing rooms.

Tell us a little bit about yourself and life in Boyup Brook.
We have lived in the Boyup Brook shire for 30 years. After selling our farm at Wilga we purchased a bigger farm on the east side of the shire and moved to the new farm in March 2019. We have four sons, their partners and six grandchildren who like to visit the farm.
We enjoy the country lifestyle and Boyup is a friendly community.
We visited the TR Homes display at the Newdegate Field Day in 2018 and came home with lots of house plans from Mitch. We followed up with a visit to the display centre in Maddington.
After we moved to the new farm we started looking for a new home. We visited display homes in the South West and had discussion with several builders, but decided to build with TR Homes.
What made you choose TR Homes?
The ultimate decision to use TR homes was the building time. Also there were no hidden cost, everything was itemised on the contract and we could make variations during prestart.
The advantage of building a modular home was it arrived complete with all fittings, painting, floor coverings, window treatments, a wood heater for the living room and air conditioning. This was all included in the final price.
How did you find the process of designing your own home?
The process of designing our home was made easy with Mitch’s help and the drafting team. Prestart was a lesson learned, with great help from Stacey as we hadn’t built a new home before.
We enjoyed our visits to TR Homes while our home was being constructed, plus the update photos as each stage was completed, from the concrete slab to the house leaving the TR Homes yard to come to the farm.
The team of three guys who transported our house over two days were amazing to watch, putting two modules together and returning the following day with the next two modules and aligning them with the first two.
Would you recommend TR to family & friends?
Yes. We are enjoying our new home and are looking forward to having the verandahs installed in the next couple of months. We have a lovely new home with plenty of room for family and friends to stay.
We would not hesitate in recommending TR Homes to anyone for their new home. We have two family members who have built with TR Homes prior to us having our house built.
